Kilambay Plantation Corporation (KPC) is an agricultural service company provider, providing
sustainable and innovative solutions for plantation development, plant supplies and
equipment, organic farming, industry development and land preparation. Founded in 2011 by
Jerry and Jocelyn Taray, the company has since grown into an agricultural company
known for its commitment to environmental responsibility and quality products.
Headquartered in the heart of the Province of Cotabato, a fertile agricultural region, Kilambay
Plantation Corporation began its journey as a seedling nursery provider committed to
improving the Philippine Agricultural industry and revolutionizing traditional farming practices.
From the onset, the company's founders recognized the need for a more industrialized and
sustainable approach to agriculture, one that not only maximized yields but also nurtured the
environment and supported local communities.
Since it began its plantation development operations, KPC has planted and assisted in
developing over 20,000 hectares of land. With its newest venture into Bamboo, the company
aims to establish a sustainable bamboo plantation of over one million hectares that will not
only promote environmental conservation but will also drive economic activity to the
Indigenous communities (IP). The company's dedication to agriculture is evident in every aspect
of its operations, from the adoption of organic farming methods and the sustainable plantation
development.
Kilambay Plantation Corporation's impact extends beyond the boundaries of its own
operations. The company is deeply invested in empowering local farming communities,
providing them with resources, training, and support to help them adopt practices
and improve their livelihoods. By fostering partnerships and community engagement, KPC
contributes to economic growth and creates a network of like-minded individuals who share its
commitment to responsible agriculture.
The company continually seeks new ways to improve efficiency, enhance crop quality, and
minimize environmental impact shaping the future of agriculture, ensuring that its practices
remain at the forefront of positive impact and productivity.
As Kilambay Plantation Corporation continues to expand its operations, its dedication to long-
term profitability and environmental responsibility remains unwavering. The company is proud
of the legacy it is building and is excited to continue growing alongside its partners, customers,
and the land.

With its newest venture—giant bamboo plantation, KPC provides a sustainable way of cultivating giant bamboo in the Philippines that helps combat climate change, uplift the lives of indigenous Filipinos, and generates verified carbon credits that can be acquired by various industries to offset their carbon emissions and contribute to global climate change mitigation initiatives.
As climate change becomes a pressing global issue, with its severity increasing every year through extreme weather conditions often felt in different parts of the globe, a concerted effort among various public and private stakeholders to mitigate its negative impacts becomes a top priority. KPC aims to complement and support such initiative by promoting an industrialized and sustainable approach to plantation development characterized by effective project monitoring that ensures proper implementation, accountability, and transparency.
Aside from helping combat climate change, we, at KPC, are committed to fostering inclusive growth by putting our indigenous partners at the frontline of our priorities because we believe that empowering their communities means empowering our future generations. Acknowledging the importance of stakeholder engagement, indigenous peoples (IPs) themselves are heavily involved in plantation development, which also provides a stable source of livelihood. KPC directly employs IPs to cultivate a sense of ownership, through this, we believe that they will develop dedication and see themselves as important partners in climate mitigation efforts.
Furthermore, KPC helps preserve indigenous domains in various areas in Mindanao, ensuring that these lands are secured and will be passed on from one generation to the next. In doing so, we have partnered with several government agencies such as the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Agriculture (DA), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU), Carmen, Cotabato LGU, and Rizome Philippines. These partnerships serve as testaments to KPC's commitment to act as one of the top partners of the Philippine government in environmental conservation and the protection of IPs rights.
To ensure healthy and high-quality yields at par with international standards, KPC likewise implements standardized procedures across all its plantation sites. We strive to ensure that our processes and procedures are compliant with current policies and carbon protocols, which puts us at the centerstage of initiatives aimed at developing areas that are not yet forested, unproductive, and degraded, as well as establishing a carbon credit project that is cost efficient, effective, and has concrete impacts. Furthermore, we conduct regular trainings to build the capacity of our indigenous staff, making sure that we are able to keep up with the latest technology and trends in plantation development.
With the aim of fostering sustainability, KPC also seeks to develop the entire bamboo value chain, ensuring that the planted materials or outputs will have consistent market access, technological development, and appropriate work force. We acknowledge the challenges faced by bamboo stakeholders in the Philippines, and therefore, we seek to collaborate and partner with domestic and foreign stakeholders and investors to bridge policy gaps and align industry priorities. Our goal is to be an active contributor in the development of the Philippine bamboo industry by helping strengthen research and development programs that will enhance bamboo cultivation, establish links to global value chain and distribution networks that will ensure stable and consistent market for bamboo-based products, and improve access to foreign markets and customer base expansion.
It is our hope that together, we can put the Philippines at the top spot of the global bamboo industry.
